About the Role
Delhivery is India's largest fully-integrated logistics platform by revenue as of Fiscal 2023. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Intern to join our Sales team. In this role, you will work at the frontlines of our newly launched intra-city service line — driving brand awareness, building B2B client relationships, and generating leads that directly impact business growth.
This is a high-ownership, high-impact internship designed for individuals who are passionate about sales, logistics, and building businesses from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Awareness & Market Positioning
2. Conduct B2B interactions with potential clients to introduce and position Delhivery's newly launched intra-city delivery service line.
3. Represent Delhivery's brand in the field, building awareness among local businesses, SMEs, and enterprises.
4. Understand competitor landscape and communicate Delhivery's unique value proposition effectively.
5. Lead Generation & Sales
6. Drive app downloads and facilitate pricing demos with prospective business clients.
7. Document and maintain a pipeline of interested businesses using structured reporting formats.
8. Actively follow up with leads to convert prospects into active clients.
Business Development
9. Prospect and approach potential clients for domestic and intra-city logistics services.
10. Build and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
11. Collaborate with the local Sales team to meet and exceed lead generation targets.
12. Coordination & Reporting
13. Work closely with operations and customer service teams for smooth service delivery.
14. Prepare regular reports on outreach activities, lead pipeline, and conversion metrics.
Qualifications & Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills — you're comfortable talking to strangers and pitching ideas.
Self-motivated and target-oriented; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Eagerness to learn about logistics, supply chain, and B2B sales.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Prior internship or project experience in sales, marketing, or business development is a plus — but not required.
